Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Renewable Operator with expertise in gas and energy operations to support our global energy initiatives. This role is pivotal in managing our renewable gas operations and will initially be contracted for a duration with the potential for a permanent position.

Role Responsibilities:
The Renewable Operator will be an integral part of the Renewable Gas Operations Team, reporting directly to the Operations Team Lead. The focus will be on optimizing the gas portfolio across various European markets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of commercial requirements across the geographical portfolio.
  • Overseeing multiple monthly auctions for gas certificates to enhance portfolio value.
  • Providing insights into commercial operations to ensure optimal performance and value creation.
  • Enhancing processes and systems to support growth and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance and timely delivery of operations and certificates.
  • Collaborating with dealmakers to track contractual obligations and make informed commercial decisions.
  • Exploring new market opportunities in partnership with trading and origination teams.
  • Contributing to the development of in-house operational tools and participating in design discussions.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience or familiarity with renewable certificates, aiding in understanding the role's complexities.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities, essential for decision-making in dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in English, with additional European language skills being advantageous.
  • Desirable coding skills, such as Python, for data management and analysis.
  • A proactive attitude, logical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, global team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
