We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at CV Library, a leading company in the industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead maintenance and improvement activities through best practice methodology.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and manufacturing, with experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated and standalone manufacturing processes and equipment. They will also have excellent communication and project leadership skills, as well as a strong understanding of 5S, lean, and HS&E practices.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated and standalone manufacturing processes and equipment, jigs, and fixtures to meet project requirements and safety standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Support and develop continuous improvement of current processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Compile and support the writing of relevant documentation, including risk assessments and production work instructions, to ensure safe working practices.
- Process Management: Maintain a record of all documentation and oversee or support in process modifications and tooling changeovers.
- Facilities and Equipment Maintenance: Implement repair and modification work to site facilities and equipment, including electrical wiring and service installation work.
- Skills and Behaviours: Strong communication skills and project leadership, good organizational skills, self-disciplined with knowledge of 5S, lean, and HS&E practices, time-served qualification in a Manufacturing / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering discipline, and experience in installing basic single / three-phase electrical circuits.
- Education and Qualifications: Time-served qualification in a Manufacturing / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering discipline (Degree / HNC level with on-the-job experience).
- Skills and Experience: Strong practical and problem-solving ability, design-level experience of PLCs and/or Control system programming, especially Siemens S7 & UR 6 axis robots, ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematic diagrams, conversant with Microsoft Office, and ability to operate workshop equipment such as lathes and milling machines.
