Unique Training Solutions is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to fill Care and Support Worker roles within Bury's thriving adult social care sector.

We partner with a diverse range of providers, including established organizations like Macintyre and the FED, council-managed services such as Killelea House and Rapid Response, and smaller independent homes and community services. This extensive network ensures we have a wide array of vacancies to suit your skills and preferences.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support with daily living activities, including shopping, meal preparation, tidying, and administrative tasks.
  • Assist individuals with personal care routines such as showering, toileting, and basic hygiene.
  • Offer non-clinical care, such as administering medication or applying topical creams, under proper guidance.
  • Support mobility needs by assisting with moving and positioning, utilizing mobility aids like chairs, frames, and walking equipment.
  • Engage in meaningful social activities, including walks, games, arts and crafts, fostering a sense of connection and well-being.

Essential Qualities:

We seek individuals who demonstrate genuine compassion, commitment, and the ability to thrive in sometimes challenging situations. A strong understanding of person-centered care and the importance of independence is crucial.

  • A Health and Social Care qualification is preferred but not always required.
  • A valid UK driver's license may be necessary for certain positions.
  • Previous experience in a care setting is beneficial.

Benefits:

Community-based roles typically require a full UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle. Mileage expenses are reimbursed monthly. Shifts can vary from part-time to full-time, with most requiring flexibility and a willingness to work at least one weekend shift per month.

Competitive hourly rates range from £11.44 to £12.50, with additional compensation for night shifts.
