Job Description

Job Duties:

  • As a GCSE Tutor, you will be responsible for providing individualised tutoring sessions to students preparing for their GCSE exams.
  • This includes developing tailored lesson plans, conducting assessments, monitoring progress, and providing feedback to help students improve their understanding of key subjects.

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification and experience in tutoring or teaching at the GCSE level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in the relevant GCSE subjects is essential.

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE students, preferably in a 1:1 setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • A passion for helping students succeed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or training in specific GCSE subjects would be beneficial.

Working Conditions:

  • The role has flexibility in scheduling tutoring sessions.
  • The work will primarily take place in a home, care home or public library.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
