Job Overview

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Booking Clerk to join its busy elective outpatient booking service. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving the efficiency of the service and enhancing the patient experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure all patient appointments are booked on receipt of referral and triage
  • Assign patients to the right clinic first time
  • Maintain an efficient telephone service
  • Minimise short notice cancelled clinics and optimise clinic capacity
  • Implement a patient-focused booking program
