Job Title: Night Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Support Assistant to join our team at Wakefield Council. As a Night Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to young people in our care.

About the Role

The Night Support Assistant will be responsible for the on-going oversight of several properties and various types of accommodation. You will be the first line of contact for young people and will support those who are homeless or at high risk of homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overnight support to young people in our care
  • Conduct regular checks on properties and accommodation
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents
  • Support young people with daily living tasks and activities
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless support

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge and understanding of working within an Ofsted regulated service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A vehicle owner/driver
  • Good standard of word processing skills
  • Ability to work unsocial hours, including weekends
