Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide administrative and technical support to our pharmacy team, ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services. This will include processing stock requisitions, receiving and processing medication deliveries, and undertaking distribution duties to departments and wards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and fill stock requisitions from departments and wards.
  • Receive and process medication deliveries.
  • Return suitable unused, issued medicines to stock for subsequent reissue.
  • Undertake distribution duties to departments and wards as necessary.
  • Use and maintain robot software and hardware in line with SOPs.
  • Complete routine checks of pharmacy stock to ensure suitability of medicines for issue.
  • To be involved with general ordering and related queries.
  • Any other reasonable duty which may be required by the Senior Technician, Technicians or Pharmacists.
  • Assisting in the delivery and distribution of IV fluids.
  • Involvement in the training of new staff in areas you are competent in.
