Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a deputy for the Commissioning Project Leader when necessary, including overseeing personnel during shifts.
- Ensure safe operation of plant systems while maintaining awareness of the plant's status and the implications of ongoing activities.
- Commit to personal development and fulfill mandatory training obligations.
- Execute routine tasks with minimal supervision, understanding the safety implications in a high-risk setting.
- Represent the organization during Contractors Sea Trials and other operational requirements.
- Deliver assigned tasks in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal standards.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of work performed as dictated by policy and legislation.
- Possess experience in commissioning or maintaining mechanical systems within highly regulated sectors such as Oil, Gas, or Nuclear.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in high-risk environments.
- Ability to interpret complex mechanical systems, including drawings, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Familiarity with Nuclear Site/Authorization Conditions.

About the Commissioning Team:
As a Principal Commissioning Engineer in the Reactor Test Section (RTS) for Mechanical, you will play a pivotal role in one of the most significant and intricate engineering programs undertaken nationally. This position offers the chance to work on first-of-class submarines, sharing your expertise and mentoring junior engineers to help achieve our collective objectives.
Additionally, you will participate in critical event testing for Dreadnought, focusing on the innovative design of the reactor plant. We provide relocation support packages for all Submarine roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
