About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team at The Calico Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive business planning and treasury accounting service for the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review the Group's Treasury Strategy, ensuring that the business plan is adequately funded and reviewed by the Board on an annual basis.
  • Review the 30-year business plans against actual performance and prepare Calico's approach to stress testing.
  • Prepare the Group's cash flows, reports to funders and security trustees, and manage the day-to-day banking arrangements.
  • Provide analysis of financial information to support regulatory returns and support the preparation of the Group's statutory accounts.
  • Write Board reports and provide strategic financial guidance to the leadership team.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant with a working knowledge of the challenges facing the charities and housing sector, including the regulatory frameworks the Group works within.
  • Experience of treasury management processes and financial planning, including modeling and stress testing.
  • Substantial accountancy experience covering statutory accounts, financial accounts, cash flow, and credit control/debt management.
  • Experience of BRIXX business planning software (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead, develop, and motivate teams, and to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail.
