Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Practitioner to join our team, dedicated to fostering the professional growth of fellow colleagues. This role is perfect for a Social Worker eager to enhance their expertise and experience in the field.
Team Structure
Our Fostering Service is organized into three specialized teams:
1. Recruitment and Assessment Team - Recently initiated the Mockingbird project.
2. Support and Supervision Team.
3. Connected Carers Team (also known as Kinship Care) - Collaborates with friends and family to provide comprehensive support.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be part of the Connected Carers Team, with responsibilities including:
- Assisting in the development of services and promoting best practices.
- Demonstrating knowledge of Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards.
- Conducting connected carers assessments, including viability and Regulation 24 assessments.
- Managing a caseload of families, ensuring high-quality support and assessment.
- Participating in statutory meetings, Foster Carer reviews, and Panel attendance.
- Supporting the team with Training & Development initiatives and compliance with Fostering Regulations.
Work Schedule
This position requires a commitment of 37 hours per week, aligned with standard business hours. Flexible working arrangements may be available based on service needs, and there may be a requirement to work on a rota basis.
