The Security team's mission is to strengthen Okta's position as the leading Identity-as-a-Service solutions through identifying and resolving risks to the employees, product, and most importantly, our customers. With the ever-increasing pace of cloud application adoption, companies are struggling to find ways to accurately assess risk and act at the speed of their business.

As the Senior Director of Identity and Access Management, you will oversee the building and execution of a world-class, comprehensive Enterprise Identity service to empower and harden Okta's business. You will be the site leader of the IAM team's Ireland presence, providing strategic guidance and coaching team members to grow in their roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of highly technical professionals who understand IAM security best practices and build world-class IAM solutions.
  • Partner with your peers in Security, Product Management and Development, Business Technology, and Engineering to deliver world-class IAM solutions to secure the business and enable Okta's workforce.
  • Provide support to compliance audit and assessment efforts to support evidence collection and auditor walk-throughs, and related compliance and security documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to deliver creative solutions to complex global IAM challenges and business requirements.
  • Encourage automation opportunities to reduce manual tasks for support teams and enable the business to accomplish repeatable IAM requests via self-service.

Requirements

  • You have at least 10 years of information technology and/or information security experience.
  • 5+ years experience managing Enterprise Access Management & Directory Services.
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading a team of security professionals.
  • Experience with automating business processes and configuration management.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, deploying, or administering complex IAM workflows and capabilities.
  • Security experience related to concepts of identity and access management.
  • Proven ability to deliver timely and flawless execution on time and on budget with complex projects within an expedited timeline with high executive visibility.
  • Mentor and coach the team on the security and business requirements, technical specifications, and being able to explain to the team the requirements/controls in simple terms.
  • You are able to independently operate and take a proactive approach to your projects.
