Position Overview - Railway Signal Electrician
UGL Pty Limited is engaged in the operation and maintenance of critical rail networks. We are currently in search of a skilled Signal Electrician who is looking for a stable career opportunity within a prominent rail organization.
This is a permanent role that requires expertise in ensuring the safety and functionality of rail signaling systems. The successful candidate will be tasked with carrying out maintenance duties, which include conducting thorough inspections, identifying and rectifying signaling issues, diagnosing faults, and collaborating with various teams to facilitate their operational needs. The position operates on a 9-day fortnight schedule, with occasional travel requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Signal Electrician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Executing maintenance inspections and repairs in accordance with UGL's Technical Maintenance Plan.
- Identifying and resolving mechanical faults in signaling systems.
- Responding to failures to diagnose and rectify signaling issues effectively.
Candidate Profile:
- Possession of a Signal Electrician Assessment and a Certificate IV in Electrical (Rail Signalling).
- Demonstrated experience in signaling operations.
- Proficient in fault rectification, testing, commissioning, and decommissioning of signaling systems.
- Strong ability to interpret and understand technical schematics.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- White card certification.
- Valid Class C Driver's license (HR preferred).
- Current Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card (preferred).
- Background in rail maintenance with a solid technical understanding.
- Intermediate skills in computer literacy.
