About the Role:
Omega Red Group, a leading specialist design, installation, testing and maintenance contractor, is seeking an exceptional Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join our office-based team in Nottingham. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing earthing system design and analysis, as well as leading a team of engineers to ensure effective and efficient systems engineering approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage earthing system design and analysis using industry-leading software packages
- Lead a team of engineers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of engineering projects
- Develop and implement design solutions that meet client and industry specifications
- Interface with external engineering consultants to delegate work packages
- Ensure quality of all design deliverables and technical delivery of whole life cost solutions
Requirements:
- Proven experience in power earthing engineering environment
- Practical and proven understanding of design solution development and implementation
- Hold appropriate qualifications in engineering, such as BEng/MEng in Electrical, Civil or Process Engineering
- Sound understanding of relevant technologies and legislation
- Good commercial awareness and influencing and negotiating skills
- Full driving license and ability to work away from home as required
