Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Culinary Assistant in the School Catering Service. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the School Chef in the preparation and serving of meals to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of food, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Support the serving of meals to students, including setting tables and clearing away.
  • Contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Participate in manual handling tasks, including moving tables and chairs.
  • Understand and adhere to health and hygiene procedures to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements:

  • No prior qualifications or experience in catering are required, as full training will be provided.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
