Electrical Sales Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Support Electrical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will provide technical support to customers and the sales force team, with a strong focus on electrical bias.
The ideal candidate will have experience with serial interface, PLC's or Electric drives, and a strong understanding of commercial and market awareness of the product. They will be responsible for supporting sales growth by training and proactive promotion of existing and new products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the external sales team to enhance market share growth.
- Provide technical support through phone, emails, Teams calls, Webinars, and site visits.
- Develop and deliver bite-size training sessions to educate both SMC staff and customers.
- Investigate and analyse product field failures, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends.
Requirements:
- A Degree or HND Qualification in electronics, electromechanical or other engineering discipline.
- Hands-on testing and diagnostics experience.
- Technical knowledge paired with a degree of sales understanding would be beneficial.
- Willingness to travel to UK customer sites to support sales activities and resolve technical issues.
