Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at RecruitmentServices. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist occupational therapy services to clients with complex needs, including spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a designated caseload of clients with complex needs, conducting specialist assessments and developing individualized care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to identify occupational goals and develop rehabilitation plans.
  • Plan and implement client-centered interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to promote independence and functional ability.
  • Conduct regular goal reviews and progress assessments to ensure effective intervention and measure outcomes.
  • Provide clinical specialist advice and support to the occupational therapy team and other healthcare professionals.
  • Lead and coordinate case conferences and family meetings to ensure comprehensive care planning.
  • Act as a key worker for designated patients, providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Recommend and arrange for the provision of specialist disability equipment, ensuring safe fitting and use.
  • Participate in clinical meetings to review patient progress and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Therapy to supervise, mentor, and develop clinical skills and competencies for junior occupational therapists.
Requirements
  • Registered Occupational Therapist with a strong background in spinal cord injury and neurological rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a caseload.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
