Join Our Team as a Water Meter Technician

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Water Meter Technicians. This is a full-time position that allows you to work in your local area without the need for prior experience.

About the Role:
As a Water Meter Technician, your primary responsibility will be to gather data from water meters located at both commercial and residential sites. You will utilize a handheld device to accurately record meter readings throughout your workday while providing exceptional customer service.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly wage.
  • Flexible working hours ranging from 20 to 45 hours per week, with start and finish times between 8 AM and 8 PM.
  • Average annual earnings between £25,000 and £30,000, with potential bonuses.
  • Standard working days are Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.
  • Weekly payment schedule.
  • Overtime pay available at £15 - £16, subject to manager approval.
  • Reimbursement for business-related expenses.

Requirements:
  • Valid UK Driving Licence (minimum one year, maximum six points).
  • Physically fit, with the ability to walk 4-6 miles daily, including climbing stairs and working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Clear DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions).
  • Credit report check (no county court judgments, IVAs, or debt relief orders recorded in the last six years).

Preferred Qualifications:
While previous customer service experience is advantageous, it is not essential. Your duties will include:
  • Retrieving data from various sites for water meters, with full training provided.
  • Engaging with residential customers to gather information and update records.
  • Performing meter readings, which may involve some survey tasks.
  • Maintaining a friendly demeanor and professional approach while interacting with customers.
  • Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
