Crich Medical Practice Overview:

Nestled on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales, our practice is conveniently located near major transport links.

We cater to a semi-rural population of approximately 8000 individuals across three locations, including a modern facility in Crich and two smaller branches, each equipped with dispensaries.

As a training practice, we are dedicated to fostering the professional growth of our team members.

Our routine patient appointments consist of 13 patients, ensuring a balanced workload.

We have embraced modern technology with our paper-light SystmOne system, integrated Ardens Templates, and the use of Accurx.

Collaborate closely with ARCH PCN, which provides access to clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and First Contact Physio.

Job Duties

Role Description: General Practitioner

As a General Practitioner, you will be tasked with delivering comprehensive medical care to our patients. Your role will encompass a variety of clinical and administrative duties, ensuring the provision of high-quality healthcare services. Below are the essential aspects of the role:

Clinical Duties:

- Provide primary medical care to patients, including consultations, examinations, and diagnoses.

- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with national and local guidelines.

- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions, including long-term care plans.

- Conduct home visits and telephone consultations as necessary.

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and investigations.

- Refer patients to specialists and other healthcare professionals when required.

Administrative Duties:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

- Process medical reports, referrals, and correspondence.

- Coordinate and follow up on patient appointments and referrals.

Communication and Patient Care:

- Communicate effectively and sensitively with patients, ensuring they understand their medical conditions, treatment plans, and associated risks.

- Provide health promotion and education to patients, encouraging healthy lifestyle choices.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:

- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.

Essential:
