We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Nurse Consultant to join our Managed Service Network for Children and Young People with Cancer (MSN CYPC). This is an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to the development of excellence in care for children and young people with cancer in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for children and young people with cancer in Scotland, working across professional and organisational boundaries.
  • Develop and promote relevant research and education to build capacity within the health and social care system.
  • Lead, develop, and promote excellence in service development and improvement for children and young people with cancer.
  • Work with patients, families, carers, and public partners to promote excellence in service development and improvement.
  • Collaborate with co-Clinical Directors, MSN Board, and NHS Health Board Nurse Directors/Leads to achieve strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in strategic leadership and management within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical expertise and knowledge of children and young people's cancer care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong research and education background, with experience in developing and promoting research and education initiatives.
