About the Role

CDW UK is a leading provider of information technology solutions to businesses, governments, and educational institutions. As a Traveling IT Specialist, you will be part of our Field Service Engineering team, providing on-site technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver on-site technical services to clients, including hardware support, PC and laptop imaging, helpdesk, desktop support, and more.
  • Be eligible for security clearance and adhere to CDW UK's policies.
  • Travel to client sites, providing flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform software builds and re-builds on PCs and laptops as required.
  • Contribute to service desk incidents, recognizing when escalation is necessary for timely resolution.
  • Work effectively on service desk systems, keeping all tickets up-to-date in real-time.
Requirements
  • College, university, or professional certifications in IT.
  • Experience with Windows 10 and 11 environments, Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange On-Prem and Online, Microsoft Teams, and SolarWinds.
  • Advanced networking skills, including branch office VPNs, circuits, LAN, and WAN.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, including policy management, groups, and test environments.
  • Good understanding of networks and network fundamentals.
