Combat Systems Engineer - Electronic Warfare Specialist

Job Summary:

Conventus Solutions Limited is seeking a highly skilled Combat Systems Engineer with expertise in Electronic Warfare to support our Maritime Electronic Warfare Programme (MEWP). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading system integration and installation activities, engaging with stakeholders to facilitate the scoping, definition, development of proposals and agreement of activities and updates required to Shared Infrastructure (SI), Ships Services, Combat Management Systems and Ships Structure enabling integration/installation of MEWP capability in accordance with MCS ships process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Integration and Installation: Lead system integration and installation activities, engaging with key stakeholders including the EWCM Supplier, Surface Ship Combat Systems Group (SSCSG) Integration Authority (IA), Platform Authorities and third-party suppliers of Combat System Equipment to facilitate the scoping, definition, development of proposals and agreement of activities and updates required to Shared Infrastructure (SI), Ships Services, Combat Management Systems and Ships Structure enabling integration/installation of MEWP capability in accordance with MCS ships process.
  2. Contractor Design and Development: Engage in Contractor Design and Development activities, manage Interface Control documentation, Service Definitions and Ships Combat System Integration issues to ensure compliance of suppliers with relevant Statements of Work(s).
  3. Electronic Warfare Expertise: Experience of systems engineering in the context of electronic warfare, such as weapons systems, radar systems, combat systems, software integration, communication systems and counter measures.
  4. Requirements Acceptance: Assist with the production, acceptance, and resultant configuration control of a requirements acceptance procedure (Verification, Validation Requirements Matrix (VVRM) created by industry in accordance with an agreed Integrated Trials Evaluation & Acceptance Plan (ITEAP).
  5. Technology and Technical Risk Management: Monitor, manage, and report technology and technical risk on the MEWP projects.
  6. Technology and Technical Risk Monitoring: Monitor and manage and report technology / technical risk and changes or developments in ships services, networks, systems and architecture for the MEWP projects.
