We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Specialist Primary School in Telford, Shropshire. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with diverse learning requirements, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Physical Disabilities (PD), and Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN).
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ASC, MLD, PD, and SLCN, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs), ensuring a tailored approach to each pupil's needs.
- Employ creative and adaptive teaching methods to engage pupils and support their learning, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils with personal care needs where required, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Experience working with children with ASC, MLD, PD, or SLCN in a school or similar setting.
- Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs.
- A positive, resilient, and patient attitude, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, showing initiative and flexibility.
