Early Years Group Leader

Barracudas Activity Day Camps is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Group Leader to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of our young campers, while also delivering engaging and educational activities that promote their development and growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement the Early Years Foundation Stages to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for our campers.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining a safe and inviting base room area, ensuring all equipment is secure and accessible.
- Follow established policies and procedures to guarantee a safe and enjoyable experience for our campers.
- Deliver a variety of activity sessions, working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a seamless and engaging experience.
- Act as a Key Worker, maintaining open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's experiences and progress.
- Provide active supervision and attention to our campers at all times, including during breaks and meal times.
- Plan and deliver activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our campers, ensuring maximum participation and engagement.
- Encourage children to take part in new activities, promoting a healthy lifestyle and good hygiene practices.
- Report any concerns regarding child protection to senior staff or designated personnel.
- Make reasonable adjustments to accommodate children with additional needs or medical conditions.
- Working towards or holding a relevant childcare qualification.
- Knowledge and experience within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Aged 18 or over by the start date of your contract.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Provide satisfactory professional/academic references.
- Enthusiastic, caring, and organized with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable challenges within a childcare setting.
- Enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
- Attend Virtual Assessment Event (if new to Barracudas) and complete Online Training annually.
- Assist with pack up at the end of camp.
