Finance Transformation Lead

Join a leading non-profit organization as a Finance Transformation Lead and play a key role in shaping the future of their finance function. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with the Director of Finance to drive efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Income Recognition Policy: Develop and implement a comprehensive policy that meets all accounting standards, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Streamlining Invoicing Process: Identify inefficiencies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate and optimize workflows, reducing manual errors and increasing productivity.
  • Credit Control Process Enhancement: Review and improve current processes to ensure timely and accurate management of accounts receivable, minimizing bad debt and improving cash flow.
  • Transfer to Finance Shared Services: Lead the migration of invoicing and credit control processes to a centralized team, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Contract Control & Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Design and standardize reconciliation processes, developing tools to support these new systems and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Accruals and Prepayments Reconciliation: Implement new processes and train the team for effective management, ensuring accurate financial reporting and minimizing errors.
  • Reporting Overhaul: Redesign financial reporting processes, improve automation, and provide enhanced access to financial data for budget holders, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Month-End Process Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce timelines, standardize tasks, and boost efficiency through SOPs and templates, minimizing manual errors and increasing productivity.

Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, and a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Proven experience of leading finance transformation projects within a large organization.
  • Skills: Strong project management, proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools, excellent communication and stakeholder management, and the ability to lead and mentor teams through change.
