Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fire and Security Systems Technician to join our team at Alecto Recruitment. This role involves both installation and maintenance of fire and security systems, ensuring the safety and security of various properties.

Compensation

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 based on experience
Overtime: Paid at a rate of x1.5, along with an additional on-call allowance
Travel: Paid travel from door to door
Vehicle: Company vehicle with an option for private use

Benefits

Role Responsibilities

The position consists of approximately 75% servicing and 25% installations. A successful candidate will possess competence in various areas, including:

  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • Intruder Alarm Systems
  • CCTV Systems

We welcome applicants with limited experience in one or more of these areas, provided they are willing to undergo training and development.

Project Variety

Our projects range from high-end residential properties to large commercial and public buildings, including:

  • Stately homes
  • Multi-million-pound properties
  • Historic buildings
Key Duties

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, servicing, and maintaining various fire and security systems
  • Conducting corrective and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems
  • Ensuring compliance with current standards and customer requirements
  • Responding to service calls for all types of fire and security systems
  • Updating and documenting work completed via SIMPRO to keep the office informed
Requirements

A valid UK driving license is essential. Flexibility to travel and participate in an on-call rota (1 week in every 4) is required.

Due to the nature of the fire and security industry, successful candidates will need to pass several background checks, including a credit check, five-year referencing history, and a DBS check.
