Job Title: Support Worker for Children

The role of a Support Worker for Children involves providing care and support to children in a Gaelic unit, building positive working relationships, and promoting positive behavior. This position requires fluency in Scottish Gaelic and a commitment to delivering an inclusive and diverse early years service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing care and support to children in a Gaelic unit
  • Building positive working relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Promoting positive behavior and a safe learning environment
  • Assisting in the delivery of a high-quality lunch-time experience
  • Working effectively as part of the wider team

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Scottish Gaelic
  • NC in Early Education and Childcare at SCQF Level 6 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 6, or equivalent
  • Eligibility for membership of the Protection of Vulnerable (PVG) Scheme and membership of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
