Junior Forklift Technician

Location: Basingstoke

Salary: Approximately £31,000 - £33,000 Base + 6% Employer/4% Employee Pension + Overtime at Time 0.5 & Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Life Assurance + Discount Benefits Scheme + Uniform

Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (39 hours per week)

We are currently seeking a Junior Forklift Technician to join a leading international manufacturer specializing in materials handling solutions. This position is ideal for mechanical technicians with relevant skills who are eager to receive comprehensive training and explore career advancement opportunities.

As part of a dedicated workshop team, you will be responsible for conducting pre-delivery inspections on a diverse range of forklift trucks, installing specific components, and performing necessary repairs and maintenance. Overtime opportunities are available and compensated at time and a half for hours exceeding 39 per week.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Forklift Technician:
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections, servicing, and repair tasks on various forklift trucks in a workshop setting.
  • Engage in a dynamic workshop environment from Monday to Friday.
  • Procure spare parts as required.
  • Take advantage of available overtime.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Hands-on mechanical experience.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient in IT skills.
  • Preferably possess a level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
