Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Rugby Hub Team on a 4-month fixed-term contract basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cutting-edge equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on complex equipment, including Beumer Sorters, Interroll Sorters, and Carousel conveyors.
- Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on PLCs and other automation systems.
- Collaborate with external engineers and optimisation groups to improve processes and reduce downtime.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Monitor and report on equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and external contractors.
Requirements:
- Qualification in an engineering discipline (e.g., City & Guilds) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in automation and electrical maintenance, with a strong understanding of PLCs, programming units, and distributed I/O systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and weekends, as required.
