Role Overview

We are pleased to present a remarkable opportunity for an Infrastructure Project Leader to join our thriving and expanding Infrastructure division, aiding our clients in the execution of various water-related projects and programs.

Given the intricate nature of the tasks involved, this position is ideal for Project Leaders with a civil engineering background, preferably with experience in the water sector. NEC accreditation is also highly regarded.

At Turner & Townsend, Project Leaders manage commissions of diverse sizes, contingent on the project's complexity. Typically, projects range from £1m to £10m, with larger projects when in a supporting capacity.

  • To oversee Project Management Commissions, assuming responsibility for comprehensive service delivery.
  • To assist on significant Project Management Commissions, taking charge of a specific aspect of service delivery.
  • To ensure that client goals are achieved and that projects are completed within time and budget constraints while meeting the required quality standards.

Performance Metrics

  • A Project Leader will be evaluated based on the following:
  • Projects are managed to the appropriate quality standards and are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Project delivery aligns with client objectives and adheres to the conditions of engagement.
  • The project team is effectively led.
  • Strong relationships are cultivated with clients and members of the cross-functional team.
  • General line management responsibilities (where applicable) are effectively executed.
  • Business development opportunities with existing and prospective clients, including cross-selling opportunities, are identified and pursued.
  • The internal financial status of all projects is diligently monitored.
  • Key information and data are effectively communicated and appropriately retained.

Qualifications

  • NEC (3/4) accreditation (preferred).
  • Chartered/qualified status with ICE, APM, RICS, etc., is preferred.
  • Candidates should ideally possess a degree in a construction-related discipline.
