Lead Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Architect to join our team at Reed Technology. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and developing data solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Shape the approach to data solutions using cloud technologies.
  2. Set standards for solutions documentation and data governance.
  3. Lead the promotion of Agile delivery methods.
  4. Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in cloud and data.
  5. Analyse client technology implementations and provide recommendations.
  6. Provide technical leadership and guidance to Data Architects and Data Engineers.
  7. Ensure technical deliveries meet the required standard for data quality and design.
  8. Provide technical expertise in pre-sales processes to help win new business.
  9. Contribute to the development of training plans for junior staff.
Requirements:
  1. Experience designing cloud data platforms in Azure/AWS or significant on-premise design experience.
  2. 5+ years in data engineering or business intelligence roles.
  3. Extensive ETL and data pipeline design experience, technology agnostic.
  4. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data engineering coding languages such as Python, R, or Spark.
  5. Understanding of data warehouse and data lake principles.
  6. Experience with data visualisation tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  7. Agile and/or DevOps project delivery experience, including peer reviews and continuous improvement practices.
  8. Familiarity with backlog management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
