Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for training, lecturing, and assessing electrical students, ensuring the quality of provision meets the highest standards. This position is based in the Plymouth office, with a teaching schedule of 4 days per week and 1 day for preparation.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively and professionally across all brands and centers
  • Provide support for all learners in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Teach learners undertaking Electrotechnical Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • Ensure knowledge is current to meet technical and assessment requirements of awarding organizations
  • Hold and work towards relevant qualifications as required
  • Stay up-to-date with current legislation and working practices within the trade
  • Motivate learners to ensure success
  • Negotiate Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) with all learners based on individual needs
Personal Specification
  • The successful applicant will need to undergo a DBS check as a condition of the job offer
  • This position can be full-time or part-time, with term-time only considered
  • A teaching/assessing qualification is preferred but not essential
  • Applicants will need relevant industry qualifications (NVQ 3 or equivalent) plus at least five years 'on the tools'. If you don't already hold a Level 3 testing qualification, JIB Card, (Electrician Grade minimum) and an assessor award, we can arrange and fund this training as part of your induction process
