Financial Controller

This is an exciting opportunity for an ACA qualified accountant to join a private equity backed tech firm based in East Yorkshire. The company is on a major growth journey and is seeking a skilled Financial Controller to support its leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial operations, including A/R, A/P, Accounting, Reporting, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Controls.
  • Upgrade the Finance systems and provide ad hoc Decision Support to the CFO and Leadership Team.
  • Help inform management's decision-making by providing an up-to-date view of the Company's financial and operational performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate, analyse, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and systems that align with the company's overall goals.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analysing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimising the impact of variances.
  • Manage budgeting process.
  • Lead and develop the finance team.
Requirements
  • A professional Accountant Qualification (ACA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, train & develop staff, and delegate as appropriate.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Intellectual curiosity, innovative, and constantly looking for ways to improve the business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, low key, team player, friendly and outgoing, confident, and good stakeholder management skills.
  • High integrity and professionalism.
