About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Optos. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for introducing and assuring the manufacture of complex ophthalmic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and manufacture high-quality products
  • Investigate manufacturing issues, defects, and non-conformities to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Apply Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve measurable results
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and quality management system requirements are met
Requirements
  • Degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in medical devices, automotive, or defence/aerospace industries
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, welding, and surface treatment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
