The Procurement Manager at Engineering Delivery Solutions Ltd will be responsible for leading a small Purchasing Team and managing processes to ensure an efficient supply chain that meets production schedules and customer requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • **Control External Suppliers:** Drive for cost reductions and improved trading terms by negotiating with suppliers and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • **Collaborate with Departments:** Work with various departments to meet inventory targets and secure production slots, ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
  • **Analyze Purchasing Trends:** Maintain accurate MRP database and analyze purchasing trends to identify areas for improvement and optimize supply chain performance.
  • **Rationalize Supplier Base:** Rationalize the supplier base for cost savings and efficiency, ensuring a lean and effective supply chain.
  • **Establish Strategic Supplier Relationships:** Establish strategic supplier relationships and negotiate agreements to drive business growth and improve supply chain resilience.
  • **Drive Continuous Improvement:** Drive continuous improvement in purchasing performance, ensuring that the supply chain is optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • **Ensure Compliance:** Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

**Requirements:**

  • **Education:** Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • **Experience:** Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in electromechanical manufacturing, with leadership experience in procurement and inventory management.
  • **Skills:** Proficient in MRP systems and Microsoft Office tools, with a proven track record in cost reduction and supplier management.
  • **Certification:** MCIPS/CIPS certification preferred.
