About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Housekeeping team at Brighterkind. As a Housekeeping Team Member, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our homes, ensuring our residents feel comfortable and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy, and hazard-free environment, adhering to established cleaning schedules and protocols.
  • Oversee the duties of the domestic and laundry staff team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Work collaboratively with the domestic and laundry staff teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for managing duty rotas and timesheets for domestic and laundry staff, ensuring accurate payroll processing.
  • Under the supervision of the Home Manager, conduct staff appraisals, develop personal development plans, and provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Manage stock levels and supplies for cleaning and laundry staff, adhering to budgetary controls and ensuring efficient stock control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Policy on Infection Control and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at all times.
  • Thoroughly clean vacated rooms, preparing them for re-occupation.

Requirements

  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Polite, courteous, energetic, and outgoing, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A team player who engages well with others, contributing positively to enhancing quality and service levels for all service users.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
