About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our technical engineering team at Gattaca PLC. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of new and existing engineering projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Review technical specifications and develop engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Prepare project documentation ensuring timely completion with the project lead.
  • Support and lead technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work directly with the project management team to identify and manage risks at an early stage.
Requirements
  • Master's degree level qualification in mechanical engineering or similar degree or demonstrate significant equivalent experience.
  • Mechanical Engineering experience within a project lifecycle environment.
  • CEng status preferred.
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT skills with the MS Office package.
  • Strong communicator able to present to various audiences in a clear and concise way.
  • Ability to take on new challenges and adapt quickly.
  • Due to security restrictions, this role is only open to UK nationals able to obtain security clearance.
