As a Financial Partner for Growth, you will work closely with our leadership teams to provide financial management, support, and expert advice on financially related matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Improving the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance and the link to delivery of business strategies
  • Providing effective commercial procedures and initiating change to ensure key operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered
  • Working with the business to build stretching business plans
  • Supporting decision making on bid pricing based on financial modeling
  • Driving efficiency and cost control, and promoting the NATS values, financial controls, and culture changes
  • Collaborating with programmes teams to ensure material value business cases and commercial contracts balance affordability, deliverability, and benefits in line with our commitments to external stakeholders
  • Mentoring and supporting team members to ensure they are appropriately motivated and developed to perform their role

Essential skills and experience:

  • A qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience
  • Experience working in a rapidly changing environment and comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating, and implementing change
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting complex financial data and concepts to senior staff
  • Utilizing analytical skills beyond traditional finance functions to deal with a broad range of commercial issues
  • A proactive self-starter, able to deliver results and take initiative in solving problems
  • Confidence to challenge and persuade key stakeholders, build relationships, achieve business objectives, and maintain personal and professional convictions
