About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school for students with Autism. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, providing them with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a caring and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with their learning and general well-being, ensuring every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential.
  • Teach 1:1 to mixed ability children in a small class of 6-8 pupils, following weekly, daily, and seasonal planning.
  • Provide group and/or individual activities, planned by the lead teacher, to support students' learning and development.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' learning, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform future planning.
Requirements
  • Ability to teach and support learners with various complex needs.
  • Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Teaching Assistant experience, with a preference for experience working in SEND settings.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
