Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated individual to contribute to our team of experts in longevity analytics. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, demonstrate a collaborative spirit, and be proactive in seeking assistance from seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze substantial datasets related to pension scheme mortality.
  • Develop models and data products that are utilized by various pension schemes and insurance entities.
  • Apply analytical and statistical expertise to devise commercially viable solutions.
  • Utilize R programming to create sustainable and repeatable solutions to complex challenges.
  • Engage with the evolving modeling suite and digital platform to ensure broad applicability of developed solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders from statistical, actuarial, and development backgrounds to refine solutions.

Essential Skills:

  • Proactive in taking initiative on projects and seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Strong team player with the ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Extensive experience in data and analytical programming, particularly in R.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in data-centric projects.
  • Experience managing complex projects within tight deadlines in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to produce clear documentation outlining modeling methodologies and processes.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in applying longevity analytics within the insurance or pension sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
