Job Title: Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

About the Role:
Alexander Dennis Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join its Scarborough team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a proactive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and driving improvements in environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy that aligns with the company's vision and values.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters to management and employees.
- Lead the development and implementation of environmental management systems and initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA and ISO 14001.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and direct cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions to improve health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
