**Job Summary**
Radius is seeking a highly skilled Datacentre Shift Operations / Engineer to join our team.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Investigate and manage faults through to successful resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal service delivery.
• Collaborate with customers to perform installation and configuration work, adhering to service level agreements and customer instructions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer equipment manuals, network drawings, and circuit databases.
• Install and configure customer equipment, including telecoms, racks, and cable installations.
**Technical Requirements**
• In-depth knowledge of wide area networking and associated protocols, including sectionalisation and testing.
• Proficiency in working with RJ45, G.703, Type 43 BNC, and fibre interfaces.
• Ability to conduct fault isolation and problem-solving associated with WAN, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft and Linux operating systems and associated products.
• Ability to configure and install server and router makes and models.
• Certification in CISCO – I.M.C.R. – Installation and Maintenance of Cisco Routers.
• Familiarity with fibre optic testing and safe working practices.
