Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plate Mounting Operator to join our team at Future Recruitment Ltd. As a Plate Mounting Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our printing department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment, following all guidelines and procedures.
  • Prioritize mounting jobs for each individual press, ensuring timely completion and quality output.
  • Verify the correct works order, plates, and sleeves are being used prior to mounting.
  • Clean and prepare plates and sleeves for mounting, using the correct solvents and techniques.
  • Align cameras to job specifications and use the correct mounting tape for each color.
  • Log and track mounting jobs, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with the quality department.
  • Organize workload in line with the daily print program, meeting targets and customer requirements.
  • Locate and inspect plates, applying and stripping backing tape as needed.
  • Mount printing plates onto sleeves, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
  • Operate the plate cleaner and ensure plates are cleaned prior to filing and storage.
  • Store and identify printing plates for future use.
  • Assist with production operations, including maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
  • Accurately record production data and assist with preventative maintenance on machines.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisors or management.
Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of printing processes and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
