We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe working practices.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Develop and implement process improvements, utilizing the Practical Process Improvement system (PPI) to identify areas of efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with corporate, EU, and local regulatory guidelines, safety legislation, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and improve the supply chain process for both inbound and outbound flows to our customers.
- Identify training and development requirements, establish, and maintain training programs for all staff in the team.
- Work flexibly across all areas and shifts within operations, undertaking other reasonable duties as required by senior management.
- Warehouse experience, including knowledge of material handling equipment.
- Ability to plan and communicate effectively, giving clear and concise verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to react and respond to exceptions within normal working processes and prioritize accordingly.
- Experience in leading teams to meet company standards, procedures, and efficiency targets.
- Familiarity with lean methodology and experience in implementing process improvements.
- Computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft applications and warehouse management systems.
