About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Redbridge CAMHS team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide specialist occupational therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement programmes of care with service users and carers involvement
  • Provide highly specialist OT advice to members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with children and their families/carers
  • Attend relevant Education, Health and Care Plan meetings (EHCP) and any other relevant forums to share information
  • Communicate sensitive information to children and parent/carers in an empathetic way about conditions that may have significant impact on future functional abilities and quality of life
  • Undertake CAMHS initial assessments and risk assessments
  • Provide consultation to other members of the MDT internal and external to CAMHS
Requirements
  • Qualified/registered Occupational Therapist
  • Evidence of post-registration Training/qualification and continued CPD
  • Proven and significant experience of working with people with complex, acute mental health needs
  • Experience of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating aspects of care
  • Significant experience as a caseworker and CPA Care Co-ordinator
  • Experience of using MOHO and OT ADL assessments and Groups work
  • Significant experience working with families and carers
