About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Connex Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them to engage and develop in their learning.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming lives and making a positive impact on the students they work with. You will be confident in a classroom setting, able to work both in small groups and one-to-one, and have excellent behavioural management skills.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, friendly, and nurturing, with a commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom. If you have experience working with SEN students and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting students with additional needs in a classroom setting
  • Working with SEN students in small groups and one-to-one
  • Developing and implementing strategies to support student engagement and development
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure student needs are met
Requirements
  • Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent UK educational qualification
  • Previous experience working with SEN students
  • Excellent behavioural management skills
  • Commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
