About the Role

The University of Brighton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Performance and Partnerships Manager. This exciting new role will play a key part in evolving and developing our performance sport offer, working closely with a dedicated and talented team involved in facilities operation, sports development, and athlete support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide performance sport services to sports scholars, high-level student sports clubs, and elite community partners.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the student athlete experience through sport and physical activity.
  • Recruit talented student athletes and develop partnerships with recruitment agencies to support performance sport athletes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community colleges and local sport clubs to create opportunities for student athletes.
  • Coordinate performance sport services, including strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, workshops, and athlete personal development.
  • Support sport club performance development, including setting performance targets, sportsperson education, and collaborating with other performance sport practitioners.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of developing and supporting performance sportspersons.
  • Experience of building new relationships and creating sustainable partnerships in a sport or education setting.
  • Experience of sourcing and coordinating performance sport services, ideally with a professional qualification or direct experience of delivery.
  • Experience of supporting sport club performance development, including setting performance targets and collaborating with other performance sport practitioners.
