**Team Support & Development:**

  • Guide teams in managing backlogs, optimizing sprint planning, story sizing, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Help teams understand Product Management lifecycles and team of team principles through Program Management.
  • Create, build, and deliver customized Agile training programs.
  • Create, launch, and facilitate Agile collaborative groups, Communities of Practice, and Agile Working Groups.

**Operational Excellence:**

  • Clearly define enterprise-wide guidelines such as DoD, SM, and PO qualifications and responsibilities.
  • Ensure strong organizational information flow and effective scaling of coaching practices.
  • Analyze team data to support informed business decisions and improve team effectiveness.
  • Foster visibility and open communication within and between teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

**Creating Business Outcomes:**

**Innovation & Continuous Improvement:**

  • Expose teams to the latest innovative thinking and ideas from the Agile community to increase agility, leveraging Lean, Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile thinking.
  • Guide teams toward more effective planning that minimizes sprint-to-sprint carry-over and improves morale, including the application of Story sizing, allocation of capacity for ad-hoc work within sprints, and the application of acceptance criteria and definition of done.

**Visibility & Transparency:**

  • Promote visibility and transparency within and across teams.
  • Distill and analyze team performance data in support of teams making good business decisions that improve business outcomes.

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years (typically 7-10) of hands-on Scrum Master and Agile coaching experience with Agile teams, particularly in professional services environments.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent qualifications. Advanced certifications in Agile (e.g., IC-Agile Coaching, IC-ACC, or IC-ENT) are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong facilitation skills, deep understanding of Scrum and Kanban, proficiency in Lean practices, and experience in coaching techniques (ICF certification is a plus).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Lean Startup, Design Thinking, and team performance science. Understanding of Agile principles and practices and the ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization.
  • Qualities: Excellent listening skills, humility, flexibility in Agile application, and effective facilitation
  • Executive presence: Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
  • Consulting and facilitation skills in leading non-technical teams in the adoption and improvement of Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to connect theory with pragmatic examples from your experience (your personal 'war stories')
