The Site/Surveying Engineer is crucial to the success of operational projects. By maintaining effective communication with colleagues at all levels, the Site/Surveying Engineer must respond promptly, independently, and efficiently to a variety of requests, from intricate 3D modelling tasks to essential site measurement activities.

Site Engineer Role Overview

The Site/Surveying Engineer is tasked with overseeing site engineering control, coordinating setting out activities, and supplying necessary information to operatives and subcontractors. Responsibilities include completing diary sheets with photographic documentation, ensuring the calibration of surveying equipment, and conducting as-built surveys and drawings. The role also encompasses maintaining quality records in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), generating drawings from topographical surveys, and executing 3-D volumetric calculations for soils and works. Furthermore, the engineer is expected to engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD), stay updated with software advancements, and suggest innovative enhancements to improve business operations.

Site Engineer Role Requirements Proficiency in AutoCAD/Drafting (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent, including relevant experience) Familiarity with other MS Office and Windows software Skilled in the use of modern surveying and setting out tools Strong understanding of machine control Knowledge and experience with LSS or similar 3D modelling (training available in LSS) Relevant CSCS certification General awareness of Environmental Engineering and the broader business activities Site Engineer Role Benefits Company Car Allowance of GBP5k 23 days of holiday increasing to 25 with tenure plus statutory holidays 6% pension contribution Life assurance at three times the salary Medical benefit through paycare Salary: Dependent on Experience
