We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our team at Ignata Finance. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer credit accounts, ensuring timely payment and minimizing bad debts.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Sales Ledger and Customer Credit Accounts: Ensure timely payment against agreed credit terms, and maintain accurate records of customer credit limits and payment history.
- Assign Credit Terms to New Customer Accounts: Ensure that new customer accounts are assigned credit terms that align with our current credit policy, and that limits are set accordingly.
- Maintain Effective Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment and minimize late-payment and bad-debts.
- Manage Customer 'Stop-List' and Liaise with Sales Teams: Work closely with sales teams and customer contacts to promote sales while minimizing risk.
- Post Cash and Oversee Banking of Cash Receipts: Process cash receipts and ensure that they are accurately recorded and banked.
- Process Credit-Card Payments and Account Administration: Process credit-card payments over the telephone or online, and manage all account administration within data-protection regulations.
- Manage Customer Correspondence: Respond to customer inquiries and requests for payment, and provide clear and concise communication.
- Provide Credit Control Support and Administration: Provide support and administration for European sister-companies, and assist with additional tasks as required.
- Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office: Proficient in using Excel and Microsoft Office packages to manage and analyze data.
- Team Player: Ability to work closely with colleagues within the department and across other functions.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Self-Motivated and Attention to Detail: Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and ability to take responsibility for own workload.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Friendly and adaptable, with excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
