Job Summary

Rydon is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team in Sidcup. As a key member of our NHS repairs and maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing a planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance service for a large acute NHS trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, with a focus on plumbing, but also involving general maintenance works.
  • Work in a mobile role, maintaining multiple healthcare sites in a small patch in North Kent.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for emergency repairs, receiving a standby allowance and overtime paid at time and a half or double time depending on day/time of call out.

Requirements

  • Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings, ideally within the NHS or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS.
  • Ability to undertake a wide range of plumbing repairs and other general building skills, such as carpentry and plastering.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing high-quality repairs.
  • A full UK driving license and a DBS check.
